Slyce: Brothers and Sistah’s, please welcome our brother, Author D. Christopher Harvey to “The Interrogation Room”!! Welcome my brother:-). Are you ready?
Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?
DCH: I was encouraged to write a book after a friend of mine, who is also an author, read my work several times and said that my writing should be displayed for the world to read.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
DCH: I have five published books. All five were self-published through Create Space.
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
DCH: I write amazing displays of poetry and spell-binding fiction.
Slyce: Have you penned under another name?
DCH: I pen under “Divine Demon”, and “Chris the Gifted”.
Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “III-D”. What was this book about?
DCH: “III-D” is an assortment of short stories that will take the reader on a fabulous roller-coaster ride of twists and turns. No story is the same and none are predictable. I would highly recommend that everyone who likes mystery and drama should read this book!
Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?
DCH: “III-D” is a stand alone book. Although, I have a book that was released in the last two days, “Sincredible Ink” that comes with a Volume 1 and 2. They are both brilliant works of poetry.
Slyce: How important are interviews?
DCH: Interviews are only important if the forum has a loyal following that likes to support new authors.
Slyce: How important are reviews?
DCH: Reviews are very important as they serve as a catalyst for prospective buyers to determine if they should purchase.
Slyce: What does the term, “Building a Brand” mean?
DCH: “Building a brand” means establishing your name and products/services effectively so that the world knows that you exist as a professional business person.
Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?
DCH: I am networking, passing out cards, doing blog talk shows, using Facebook, posting reviews, using word of mouth and asking my loyal supporters to spread the word, after they have purchased my work.
Slyce: What goals would you like to achieve as an author?
DCH: I would like to write full-time as a script writer for TV shows or movies. I have been told many times that I have the ability and the material.
Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author D. Christopher Harvey?
DCH: The latest thing I have in the lab is my new release, which is called “Sincredible Ink: Insatiable Fantasies”. It was released two days ago.
Slyce: Do you write for the passion or the profit?
DCH: I write for the passion and to sell my works but it is not a large profit. Most writers do not make a lot unless they are signed with a large publishing company.
Slyce: Where can our viewers purchase your book?
DCH: They can be purchased on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. I also have a small supply of books in my possession, that I can send with an autograph, if the reader desires to bypass the marketing channel and sends their payments directly to me. Most of my loyal readers prefer this method as it is much more personal.
Slyce: Is your book an eBook and/or paperback?
DCH: All of my books are paperback.
