Slyce: Brothers and Sistah’s, please welcome our sistah, Author Tammie Johnson to “The Interrogation Room”!! Welcome my sistah :-). Are you ready?
Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?
TJ: I love to read and have a great imagination and I wondered if I to could write a book as well.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
TJ: I am assigned to True Glory Publications.
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
TJ: I write urban fiction but maybe I can try my hand at some horror.
Slyce: Have you penned under another name?
TJ: No I’m not under a pen name, its Tammie Johnson.
Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “Winter One Cold Bitch”. What was this book about?
TJ: This book is about a girl who was once in love, but found out it could be a hurtful thing. She finds out she is better off with other people mens”Get them before they get you” She say.
Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?
TJ: Winter will be a part 2 series.
Slyce: How important are interviews?
TJ: Interviews are important. It gets your name out there and make people look at you twice.
Slyce: How important are reviews?
TJ: Reviews are really important, that’s what make people buy your product and it’s what society look at.
Slyce: What does the term, “Building a Brand” mean?
TJ: Building your brand is to like getting your name out there in the book world, marketing yourself.
Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?
TJ: The steps that I’m taking to build my brand is like having this interview with you, putting in the hard work, show you fans that you are in this for the long hall and you want this.
Slyce: What goals would you like to achieve as an author?
TJ: The goals I want to achieve, I would love to be a best selling author one day and be proud of the work I’ve done.
Slyce: What advice can you offer those aspiring to become an author?
TJ: The advice that I can give to new authors: Work hard for what you want and take the negativity and make it a positive. It’s tough out here and be ready for the reviews, but take those to and make it a positive as well.
Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Tammie Johnson?
TJ: Yes I’m working on Winter 2 and hope to have that out next month.
Slyce: Do you write for the passion or the profit?
TJ: I’m writing for both a profit and passion, but mostly just letting people know that I can keep them entertained.
Slyce: Name three authors you’d love to work with.
TJ: It would be a pleasure to work with Ashley & Jaquavis and Pameesh Gates.
Slyce: What was one of the biggest mistakes you’ve made as a new author?
TJ: I’ve made plenty of mistakes, but I go back and see what I’ve done and make sure that I learn from that mistake. I’m my biggest critic.
Slyce: Do you feel a new author should have a team?
TJ: Yes! We new authors need a team to help with the essentials.
