Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?
Strawberry: My best friend inspired me to become an author; she always said that I had a voice and good stories to tell and how I have such a vivid imagination.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
Strawberry: Justjae Warner Presents
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
Strawberry: Urban Fiction, Romance, and Interracial Romance
Slyce: Have you penned under another name?
Strawberry: No I haven’t; the pen name that I currently have and will always use is Strawberry or Authoress Strawberry.
Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “Diamond In The Rough”. What was this book about?
Strawberry:
Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?
Strawberry: This book will be a series.
Slyce: How important are interviews?
Strawberry: Interviews are very important because it gives another avenue to get my name out.
Slyce: How important are reviews?
Strawberry: Reviews are very important because that is partly what brings in new readers.
Slyce: What does the term, “Building a Brand” mean?
Strawberry: Building a brand to me means building your name, your business, and having it positively well known to others which will gravitate to new comers.
Slyce: What goals would you like to achieve as an author?
Strawberry: My goals that I wish to achieve is to be a best seller, create movies of my books, more interviews and radio appearances, and being well known in almost every genre.
Slyce: What advice would you like to share with aspiring authors?
Strawberry: My advice would be to follow your heart, have tough skin because I realize that you have to have that in this industry and to not ever give up on telling stories and your truth.
Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Strawberry?
Strawberry: Yes; there will be a lot coming soon; I have my second book coming out September 23 and I also have two other books coming sometime this year.
Slyce: Do you write for the passion or the profit?
Strawberry: I write for the passion, if I never made any money at all doing what I do, I wouldn’t mind because I’m telling my story, my truth, and using my imagination the way I see fit. Having profit is just the icing on the cake for me.
