Slyce: Brothers and Sistah’s, please welcome our brother, Author Steven C. Moore to “The Interrogation Room”!! Welcome my brother:-). Are you ready?
Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?
SCM: Music, at a young age I’ve enjoyed the stories in music. It didn’t matter what type of music. I tried writing music at one time. I have a mixtape on YouTube and datpiff titled Pimp Palace Boy the mixtape @menis52.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
SCM: Sizzling Sassy publications.
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
SCM: I dabble in many, right now I have an urban novel “L-Town (ah lawless town) which was self published and Women DO! Raise men which is an educational book released under Sizzling Sassy Publications.
Slyce: Have you ever penned under another name?
SCM: Yes, when I was writing music I penned under Menis.
Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “Women Do Raise Men”. What was this book about?
SCM: Growing up, I always heard the phrase “a woman can’t raise a man” being raised by my mother, grandmother auntie, female cousins etc… I was always offended by it. Basically anyone who believes that phrase don’t believe me nor my my brothers are men. So the book was written to teach men of all ages the role their mother or whatever women raising them plays that contribute to their manhood. It’s also to show or give homage to all the women across the world by letting them know we acknowledge their role.
Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?
SCM: It’s a stand alone
Slyce: Is this book an audio, eBook and/or paperback?
SCM: eBook and paperback
Slyce: How important are interviews?
SCM: They’re very important, it give your readers a chance to get to know the writer on a more personal level. Which gives them an idea of your mindset when you decided or was writing a project they maybe like the most from your catalog.
Slyce: How important are reviews?
SCM: They’re equally important, everyone doesn’t care to know the author, some don’t care too know their name. Some people are just looking for a good story or confirmation on a subject they’re battling with.
Slyce: What does the term, “Building a Brand” mean?
SCM: Building a brand too me, means building an empire. Something that no matter what avenue you go down, you’re sought after.
Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?
SCM: At the moment, I’m just constantly writing and attacking different genres. Especially ones that’s not expected from a man. So when my name is mentioned, people will parade around the project because I’m known for good stories, very vivid stories.
Slyce: Do you write for the passion or the profit?
SCM: I write for the passion, I love a good story and challenging my mind.
Slyce: What advice can you offer to those aspiring to become Authors?
SCM: Take your time, be sure of your project and go for it. We can’t have great thinkers without great writers to give them something great to learn from.
Slyce: What goals do you wish to achieve as an author?
SCM: I would love to be a bestselling author, most importantly, I would love to open a writing program. To teach children the art of writing and hopefully twice a year we can publish stories from them. One book from each genre and we’ll put the remaining stories, books or/and poems in front of publishing companies. By the way; it’s non-profit so any and all proceeds will go to the children and their future projects.
Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Steven C. Moore?
SCM: Yes, I’m currently waiting on a new release date for my upcoming project “it took ah village” which is urban and I’m finishing my first erotic “the dreadz’gon slayha”

SCM: Yes, I was a guest on speak it loud tv podcast and chat and spin radio from the UK. I was also on the front page of Book Buzz Magazine.
