Slyce: What inspired you to become an Author?

SL: I have always loved to write… playing around I wrote my first novel and the feedback from my family friends was good and so I went from there and found a publisher to help make my dream comes true.

Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?

SL: Royalty Publishing House.

Slyce: In what genre do you write?

SL: I typically write Urban Fiction.

Slyce: Have you ever penned under another name?

SL: Currently I am getting ready to publish children’s book in which I will use the pen name Stor Rie.

Slyce: You wrote a book titled “His Angel & His Streets: Holding a Thug’s Heart”. What was this book about?

SL: It’s about a guy name William Aka Smooth. He is a big time drug dealer who is ready to settle down. After dealing with some crazy women, he is taken away the moment he meets Angel. Angel is a good Christian girl with strick Christian roots and values. William finds himself trying to be an honest man to Angel while dominating the streets as Smooth.

Slyce: Is this book on e-book and/or paperback?

SL: Currently only in e-book for but I am working to get paperbacks soon.

Slyce: How important are interviews?

SL: Interviews are important to reach a wider platform of readers.

Slyce: Have you done blog talk radio?

SL: Yes.

Slyce: Name three blog talk radio host?

SL: Sunny Giovanni, Tina Wright and Myron Grace.

Slyce: How important are reviews?

SL: Reviews are very important. I use the comments to help prefect my craft.

Slyce: What goals do you wish to achieve as an Author?

SL: I would love to be on Oprah’s reading list and have a New York bestseller.

Slyce: Do you see any of your books on the “Big Screen”?

SL: Yes… if anyone can drop my book off to the right people I would love them forever!

Slyce: How long does it take you to complete a project?

SL: It takes me roughly a month to two months to finish.

Slyce: Have you done any collaboration?

SL: I have not done any collaborations yet.

Slyce: If you could choose three Authors to work with, who would they be?

SL: Sunny Giovanni, Authoress Shanice and Tiffany Miller.

Slyce: What marketing tools have you found most useful in distributing you material?

SL: I use social media for most marketing and promotions, but now I have book marks, ink pens, and business cards. I keep those on my person at all times.

Slyce: What advice would you offer to those who aspire to become Authors?

SL: To anyone inspiring to be an author I say go for it. Everyone has a story that needs to be heard.

Slyce: What was one of the biggest mistakes you made as a “New Author”?

SL: My biggest mistake is still editing… I am getting better but I still run into some small issues.

Slyce: Do you write for the passion or the profit?

SL: I write for passion but I enjoy the profit.

Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?

SL: This is a 3 part series.
