Slyce: Brothers and Sistah’s, please welcome our sistah, Author Rhonda Lisa to “The Interrogation Room”!! Welcome my sistah :-). Are you ready?
Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?
RL: I had always wanted to write books when I was younger. It started as an outlet to express myself and communicate with my parents due to Developmental Stuttering. Over the years, I began to write short stories on Wattpad, and the feedback was interesting. It made me feel like I could do this, But the real inspiration came from my oldest sibling. He was the motivation and the force that inspired me to share my talents with the world.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
RL: Sizzling Sassy Publications is my publisher, but it’s way more than a company. It’s more like a sisterhood, where we all support and encourage each other. I am excited to a part of a team of talented Authors.
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
RL: Funny, you asked because I’m still trying to find my lane and define my writing. My writing contains a mixture of different genres; I don’t discriminate when it comes to my pen and creativity, but I can say primarily Urban Fiction.
Slyce: Have you ever penned under another name?
RL: No, this will be my first introduction to the literary world.
Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “Poly Life & Summer”. What was this book about?
RL: “Poly Life & Summer” is about a young man who values the traditional family dynamic but indulges in infidelity. Not only that, this character creates soul ties with a woman who has TWO faces. So now he has to pick between the family he chose or the family he made.We are talking Sex, Murder, Suicide, fraud, Marriages, and Childhood traumas. It’s a book you don’t want to miss!
Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?
RL: There will be a Part two!
Slyce: Is this book an eBook and/or paperback?
RL: Will be available next month, both eBook and paperback. Along with signed copies.
Slyce: How important are interviews?
RL: Very important, it’s great for promo, and most importantly, it gives a chance to connect with a whole universe of people.
Slyce: How important are reviews?
RL: Reviews are critical for any business. Reviews determine returned customers along with the value of your product. Its significant interaction between the consumers and producers. Not only does it gives you your flowers but needed criticism to improve.
Slyce: What does the term “Building A Brand” mean?
RL: Building a brand means leaving your footprint in the world, virtually or in your community. It’s how you want to approach or even be recognized by others.
Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?
RL: I am staying authentic to self first. Learning about things that interest and fits my personality—then involving myself in those activities.
Slyce: Do you write for passion or the profit?
RL: I have never been the type to do anything solely on financial abundance alone. I’m not working for free, but anything put my time and energy into is motivated by the heart charka simply because it’s always a bigger picture!
Slyce: What goals do you wish to achieve as a new author?
RL: To become National Bestselling Author
Slyce: What advice can you offer to those aspiring to become an author?
RL: Start writing and never pay attention to proclaim “Competition” and believe in your talent.

RL: Keshia Ervin, David Weaver, and Teri Woods.
Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Rhonda Lisa?
RL: Most definitely, but you will have to stay tuned to find out.

RL: No, I haven’t, Although I am interested in doing a podcast maybe in the near future.
