Slyce: Brothers and Sistah’s, please welcome our sistah, Author Lena Richh to “The Interrogation Room”!! Welcome my sistah :-). Are you ready?
Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?
LR: I went through some traumatic things in my childhood as a foster child , so I had to see a therapist . She gave me a journal and would tell me to just write. And before I knew it I had a whole book about my life . But this second time around I decided to write because I’m an avid reader and sometimes while reading so many ideas and plot twist come to me that I decided to go for it.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
LR: I’m currently signed to K. Renee Publications, which belongs to K.Renee who also happens to be my favorite author. She goes above and beyond for her authors and her brand. It wasn’t easy. She has all the heavy hitters on her roster so I literally had to stalk her 
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
LR: My new thing is urban fiction. At first I wrote short romances or stories about foster children.
Slyce: Have you ever penned under another name?
LR: Yes but the name was corny now that I think about it.
Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “Dangerously In Love With A ATL Thug”. What was this book about?
LR: Yes I actually just finished writing the story . It’s about an abused girl who sticks with a guy because she’s afraid to go back to a poor life so she remains in the abusive relationship under the impression that her man is a boss .She meets a guy who happens to be the plug and he’s her hood knight in shining armor. His name is Breezo he’s super rough around the edges but gentle with her and he’s gonna build her back up and show her how to love herself and to be loved correctly. She has a crazy best friend name Tay as well. But you know the other guy her ex isn’t going down so easily so it’s a war brewing.
Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?
LR: This will be a 3 part series
Slyce: Is this book an eBook and/or paperback?
LR: As of now, it’ll be released in eBook format.
Slyce: How important are reviews?
LR: Reviews are extremely necessary in my opinion . Just like any product we buy , we check reviews to inspect quality and see if it’s worth it .so the same goes for books . I’ll pass up a popular trending book sometimes for a new author simply because I’ll read one review that grabs my interest. Reviews are very important.
Slyce: What goals do you wish to achieve as an author?
LR: I want my pen name to hold weight .Certain authors are so dope with their writing that everyone knows their work. Even people who don’t usually read . Once people in prison know your name that’s when you’re accomplished lol .I want my stories to be so good that people can mentally escape into them while reading them .Or maybe bring somebody having a bad day a smile with one of my books .
Slyce: Do you write for passion or the profit?
LR: The passion, it’s therapeutic to me at times and it’s fun and enjoyable. I could care less about the money, although I know some authors who live a very rich lifestyle from writing lol.
Slyce: What words of wisdom can you share with those who wish to become authors?
LR: Don’t doubt yourself. Everybody has to start somewhere. Don’t compare yourself to other authors, and take your time Move at your own pace and never stop trying.

LR: K.Renee, Barbie Scott, Wahida Clark
Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Lena Richh?
LR: Outside of writing books, I was already helping write scripts for a few big names and my face will be coming to a screen near you all soon. But for now I’m just focused on writing my urban books.
