Meet Author Karen Renee

Slyce: Brothers and Sistah’s, please welcome our sistah, Author Karen Renee to “The Interrogation Room”!! Welcome my sistah :-). Are you ready?

Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?

KR: I have always been an avid reader. I love the Urban and Romance Genres and one day decided to write my own story.

Slyce: You are the CEO of “K Renee Presents”… When did you start your publishing company? 

KR: K. Renee Publications was born in March 2020.

Slyce: In what genre do you write?

KR: I write in Urban/ Romance Genres

Slyce: Have you ever thought about writing in another genre?

KR: I would like to write a softer Romance book and maybe try Paranormal.

Slyce: Have you ever penned under another name?

KR: No.

Slyce: How many books have you published? 

KR: 23 books

Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “A Love So Good: The Chamber Brothers”. What was this book about?

KR: Life for the Chamber Brothers can be described many different ways but easy is a word that can never be used. After the death of their mother, brothers Priest and Nas step up to run their father’s drug empire.

A true test of loyalty helps Priest Chamber find out his marriage isn’t really built on unconditional love. At the end of the day only those with Chamber blood running through their veins can be trusted.

Nasir Chamber only focus is getting money, being tied down to one woman has never been for him despite being raised in a two-parent household. He rules the streets with a iron fist and refuses to take disrespect from anyone.

When Nas’ is introduced to his brother’s new assistant Cassie, he is finally given a run for his money. Never the one to back down from a challenge, Nas finds himself doing things he’s never done before. Afraid of past secrets catching up to her, Cassie attempts to maintain her distance. Will she be able to keep her past in the past or will it come back to haunt her?

Cassie’s cousin Zoey needs a fresh start and Philadelphia is where she plans to find it. After a traumatic relationship with her ex, Zoey just wants to be happy. When her cousin gets her a job working as a nanny for Priest Chamber, an instant attraction is formed. When tragedy hits Priest’s home, his feelings for Zoey is instantly forgotten. Will Zoey and Priest be able to find their way back to happiness or will everything be erased in an instant? Someone close is out to ruin the Chamber Brothers at all cost will they be able to figure it out before it is too late?

Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?

KR: 3 Parts series with a 2 part series spinoff A Love Worth Fighting For – Cannon & Tiff

Slyce: Is this book an eBook and/or paperback?

KR: EBOOK & Paperback only.

Slyce: How important are interviews?

KR: In my opinion interviews are very important to your brand. It allows the readers to hear from you and get your thoughts and feelings about the projects you’re working on. Exposure in a interview/media platform can possibly increase the visibility of you and your brand.

Slyce: How important are reviews?

KR: Reviews are extremely important. It helps give you a sense of what the fans think about your work good or bad. Positive reviews and negative- if it’s constructive criticism can help you. I take it all as apart of my growth as an Author. It can also be helpful to other readers wanting to read your book.

Slyce: What does the term, “Building a Brand” mean? 

KR: It means EVERYTHING! Building your brand is extremely important when it concerns you as an Author. You have to market yourself in order for the masses to see you. You want to generate a positive awareness of you and what you’re offering.

Slyce: What goals do you wish to achieve as an author?

KR: To become the best at what I do. Become a New York Times Bestseller. To have all of my books in book stores and turn my books into film. Which my books will be turned into film. I’m claiming it and it’s coming.

Slyce: Do you write for passion or the profit?

KR: I write because I love what I do and I’m definitely passionate about it. Writing with passion will turn it into profit. The best of both worlds.

Slyce: What words of wisdom can you share with those who wish to become authors?

KR: Write for you! Make sure you remain consistent and put out your best work. Never give up on your dreams.

Slyce: How many authors do you have on your roster?

KR: 17 and I must say those ladies are absolutely amazing dope writers.

Slyce: Are you currently accepting submissions?

KR: Yes

Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Karen Renee?

KR: I always have something brewing, but it’s always that element of surprise. We just have to wait and see. I can say this I’m currently writing my next release.
