Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?
Fari: My inspiration came from me being a book worm. I always had my head in a book and wanted to give someone else the escape that other authors have me.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
Fari: Leo Sullivan Presents
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
Fari: Urban Fiction/ Urban Romance
Slyce: Have you penned under another name?
Fari: I have, I was previously under the name D Crosby
Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “A Dopeboy Love Story”. What was this book about?
Fari: “A Dopeboy Love Story” is about a guy named sincere who was forced into the game and found a Love that was completely forbidden for guys like him. He got caught up in the lies and ended up paying the price for.
Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?
Fari: A series, both part 1 and 2 are available on Amazon.
Slyce: How important are interviews?
Fari: Interviews hold some form of importance. It’s good to see the person behind the pen.
Slyce: How important are reviews?
Fari: I personally love reviews and hearing from my fans. As an author however, I don’t let the reviews get to me. I’m passionate about writing that’s all that matters.
Slyce: What does the term, “Building a Brand” mean?
Fari: Building a brand is like getting your name out in the industry. When people see your name or logo they know what it connects to.
Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?
Fari: I’m still in the beginning phases but I’m working on growing my fan base.
Slyce: What goals would you like to achieve as an author?
Fari: To be a number one best selling author.
Slyce: What advice would you like to share with aspiring authors?
Fari: This industry is rugged; don’t rely on anyone else to get you to where you need to be; get there YOURSELF, build and support YOURSELF; if you want it, go get it.
Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Fari?
Fari: I’m always working on things and coming up with new ideas. A new series will come your way soon.
Slyce: Do you write for the passion or the profit?
Fari: Definitely for the passion but the profit isn’t too bad either.
Slyce: Name three authors you’d love to work with.
Fari: My inspiration, Zane. I just love her work, Eric Jerome Dickey and possibly a collab with a pen sister of mine.
Slyce: What was one of the biggest mistakes you’ve made as a new author?
Fari: Not promoting myself more and letting everyone else’s opinions dictate my craft. I know I have talent. I don’t need anyone else to certify that fact.
