Meet Author Fame

Slyce: Brothers and Sistah’s, please welcome our sistah, Author Fame to “The Interrogation Room”!! Welcome my sistah :-).  Are you ready?

Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?Author Fame

Fame: I’ve always enjoyed reading, so the two kind of went hand in hand to me. I think reading some of my favorite authors inspired me. I could read something and immediately go through scenarios in my head about how the story could’ve gone in a completely different way.

Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?

Fame: I’m currently with True Glory Publications. I love my team and our supporters!!!!

Slyce: In what genre do you write?

Fame: I write urban fiction.

Slyce: Have you penned under another name?

Fame: No. Just Fame.

Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “Crew Love”. What was this book about?

Fame: This is the actual Amazon description:
Shunni, Leelita, and Bambi are best friends. They grew up without nothing and were looking for a come up. When Shunni meets Keneray, she becomes his paid trophy and the First Lady of The By Any Means click. This victory for Shunni stirs up drama between her and Bambi. Bambi having an agenda of her own causes chaos when she does the unthinkable. Feeling no remorse, Leelita jumps on the messy train giving Bambi a dose of her own medicine. With the odds stacked against them, their friendship takes a turn for the worst. Envy amongst the circle of women breaks them apart and betrayal becomes the new Loyalty when you’re loving the crew. Will they let a couple of high rollers tear them apart or withstand the storm coming their way? Join the trio as gossip, lies, and secrets become a way of life!

The book is CRAZY!! And the characters all compliment each other in one way or another. It’s a very good read.

Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?

Fame: It’s a series and part 2 is actually out now on Amazon. Check it out!!!

Slyce: How important are interviews?

Fame: Interviews are very important. This is my first real interview and I’m grateful for the opportunity. Interviews give the readers a chance to get to know the author and their views.

Slyce: How important are reviews?

Fame: Reviews are everything. I love getting feedback on stories that I write. Everybody won’t leave a bad review just like everybody won’t leave a good review, but the reviews are much needed. I would be lying if I said reviews don’t make or break a book because in some cases they do. Sometimes I can look at the reviews of a book and completely disagree with how another reader felt about the story. Then there are times when I say “okay, I probably should’ve read the reviews first.” Reviews are just a really important factor of being a writer.

Slyce: What does the term, “Building a Brand” mean?

Fame: To build a brand is to build a legacy. To gain notoriety. Building a brand is building relationships with your readers and continuing to deliver.

Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?

Fame: I’m starting to venture into interviews and participate online more. I’m not into the internet at all, but it is a key part to the success in this business.

Slyce: What does the phrase, “Learn The Craft” mean?

Fame: To learn the craft as a writer would be to understand what you are trying to accomplish with your stories. Whatever genre you write, be the best in that category! You want to be proud of what you present to the public.

Slyce: What goals would you like to achieve as an author?

Fame: I want to be able to entertain my reader. I want you to be so into what you’re reading that you feel the same emotions as the characters in the books. I want you as the reader to enjoy what you’re reading to the point that you recommend the book to someone else!

Slyce: What advice would you like to share with aspiring authors?

Fame: I would tell them, it’s not as hard as it seems, but it’s not as easy as it looks. Guidance and Time always make a good combination. As long as you have the drive and passion to write you will do just fine.

Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Fame?

Fame: Most definitely! Including a new urban romance series that will be released in the near future. I had a bit of a setback, but I’m getting back to it like I never left!

Slyce: Do you write for the passion or the profit?

Fame: The passion. The profit is nice if you are writing full time, but the passion is what motivates me to do what I do.

Slyce: Name three authors you’d love to work with.

Fame: Well let me first say, there are soooo many authors that I would love to work with on some type of level! If I had to narrow it down to three…a tough one but.. Demettrea, Tati King, and Jai Ellis.
