Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?
CA: Honestly, I was an avid reader— one of my favorite authors Taj B saw potential in me, and dared me to write a chapter. Stepping out on FAITH, I wrote it, and her and Coco Mixon signed me.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
CA: Sizzling Sassy Publications
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
CA: Urban Fiction, but I’m looking to explore romance and self help.
Slyce: Have you ever penned under another name?
CA: No.
Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “You Said You’d Never Leave: A Chicago Hood Love Story”. What was this book about?
CA: Whew Chilllllleeee, this book is based on certain parts of my life. It’s about a young lady who had a crush on her neighbor as a kid—he was about 20 years older than her. On her eighteen birthday he approached her. He ended up breaking her virginity and putting her out of the motel with cream dripping down her legs. Soon after he went home to her neighbor, his wife.
Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?
CA: Standalone 🙂
Slyce: Is this book an audio, eBook and/or paperback?
CA: This is on eBook ONLY!(it’s a short story.
short, banging and to the point!!!)
Slyce: How important are interviews?
CA: Interviews are VERY important to me!
Slyce: How important are reviews?
CA: Reviews are of the utmost importance. They kind of allow the reader to know what they’re getting before they purchase the book.
Slyce: What does the term “Building A Brand” mean?
CA: Building a brand to me mean leaving your STAMP wherever you go, without physically writing your signature on something
Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?
CA: I’m publishing constantly, as well as promoting consistently. My brand is Sizzling Sassy Productions and Sizzling Sassy Publications. I am the #Sassypreneur.

CA: I write for the passion, but to make a profit is always nice!:)

CA: I wish to build a SOLID fanbase, and get the recognition I deserve.
Slyce: What advice can you offer to those aspiring to become authors?
CA: DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!
