Slyce: Brothers and Sistah’s, please welcome our sistah, Author Cheyenne Carter to “The Interrogation Room”!! Welcome my sistah :-). Are you ready?
Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?
CC: I always wanted to be able to tell a story but needed to find a voice so I said what better way then to write.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
CC: Bad Girl publishing
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
CC: I usual write urban books but I am looking to venture out and write other things.
Slyce: Have you penned under another name?
CC: No
Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “City Limits The Unbreakable Bond”. What was this book about?
CC: I did, this book is about leaving a life that caused trouble. To enter into a life of hard work and love.
Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?
CC: It is a series book part 2 will be dropping in a while.
Slyce: Is this book an eBook or paperback?
CC: My book is on amazon
Slyce: How important are reviews?
CC: I like all reviews because it allows the author to understand the reader. It also lets the author know sometimes if the book can connect with the readers or not.
Slyce: What does the term, “Building a Brand” mean?
CC: For me buiding a brand means to work on your craft and stand behind whatever it is you do. With the power to strive and struggle.
Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?
CC: I take it one day at a time. I watch the book world carfully to make sure the choices I make are right for the brand I am trying to create.
Slyce: What goals would you like to achieve as an author?
CC: The goal i want to have the most is to maybe one day wirite for a screan play.Or became a well know author and be into stores and online.
Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Cheyenne Carter?
CC: Oh yess, I have at lease 4 more books coming soon and let me tell you these will have you reading in you sleep lol.
Slyce: What advice can you offer to those aspiring to become authors?
CC: No matter how hard it is keep doing what you belive in. I promise it will be a great reward in the end.
Slyce: Have you ever done blog talk radio?
CC: I have not but I would love to meet and mingle with people so that i can do radio and blogs however I may be starting my own blog soon
Slyce: Name three authors you’d love to work with.
CC: That’s a hard one I have worked with three other Auothers befor and i had a blast. So i am really not sure but i would be willing to work with a lot but there are so many great ones the only one I dream of reching is Teri woods.
