Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?
CH: I’ve been writing since I was younger. A lot of short stories and Creative writing was my thing.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
CH: I’m signed to Leo Sullivan Presents!
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
CH: Urban Fiction, but I want to step out and maybe try paranormal.
Slyce: Have you penned under another name?
CH: No. It’s always been Cherice Harris.
Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “He Captured My Heart”. What was this book about?
CH: Basically about a girl who has everything going for her on the career front, but her love life is in shambles. The one person she thought was for her, committed the ultimate betrayal. She then meets someone who’s in the entertainment industry and although she told herself that she wasn’t looking for another relationship, she falls for him. He has issues of his own, but they some how balance each other out.
Slyce: Is this book a stand-alone or series?
CH: It’s a 2 part series
Slyce: Is this book an eBook or paperback?
CH: As of right now, it’s an eBook, but will available in paperback soon!
Slyce: How important are interviews?
CH: I think interviews are important because it sets a platform in order for you to connect with new people.
Slyce: How important are reviews?
CH: I personally believe reviews are important because they give the writer a chance to see how readers react to their work. Whether it’s good or bad.
Slyce: What does the term, “building a brand” mean?
CH: Putting in work to get yourself noticed.
Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?
CH: Promoting my craft and talking to my readers.
Slyce: What goals would you like to achieve as an author?
CH: I just want to write and be able to see my name everywhere.
Slyce: What advice can you offer to those aspiring to become authors?
CH: WRITE, WRITE, WRITE! Never give up no matter what negative thing is thrown at you. Write for YOU!
Slyce: Do you write for passion or profit?
CH: Definitely the passion. Sometimes it’s not always about the money, but more so of doing what you Love!

CH: No, I haven’t.
