Meet Author Koffi Hallman

Slyce: Brothers and Sistah’s, please welcome our brother, Author Koffi Hallman to “The Interrogation Room”!! Welcome my brother :-).  Are you ready?

Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?

KH: I have been writing all my life. I just got to a point where I needed to start putting stories down on paper as I believed the world needed to hear what I have to offer.

Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?

KH: 492 Publishing House Inc.

Slyce: In what genre do you write?

KH: Urban fiction but I have other books that fit general fiction.

Slyce: Have you penned under another name?

KH: No I have not

Slyce: You wrote a book titled “Death Of A Thug”. What was this book about?

KH: It’s a fictional work based on true events about a phenomenal 2 sport athlete who has an accident a month before the draft and goes from bright lights & promise of fame in the NBA to life in the hood as a drug dealer & the choices he must make to survive.

Slyce: Is this a stand along or a series?

KH: The book is a stand alone but it is to be continued.

Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Koffi Hallman?

KH: Yes I have a relationship guide coming soon, “The Realist Guide To Being Real”. I also have a series called “6 Degrees Of Hustle Series”. 11 books total, 10 unrelated stories with intertwining characters. Each of the first 10 books reveals a piece of a puzzle. The 11th book makes clear.

I have the “Tales of Max Blakk the Suspicion Series”. 35 books total and each will have work suspicion somewhere in the title. First is “Deadly Suspicions” and each book is it’s own but around book 4, you’ll see that they are all interconnected.

Slyce: How important are interviews?

KH: Interviews are the blood of life for authors. Interviews shows your professionalism and ability to work under pressure.

Slyce: How important are reviews?

KH: Reviews are very important but very hard to come by. I have about 30 readers out there I’ve sent my novel to who have enjoyed it but I’m still waiting on their reviews.

Slyce: Do you feel a new author should have a “Team”?

KH: If it helps them but I’m a self contained unit.

Slyce: What does the term, “Building a Brand” mean?

KH: Building a brand is establishment of your company/entity or property with a certain level or standard that you want to be associated with.

Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?

KH: Being visible everyday and setting a higher standard in self publishing so we don’t accept everyone who wants to write for us. If you have a 130 page book, you could never be an author for 492 Publishing House Inc.

Slyce: Do you write for the passion or the profit?

KH: I write the book for my passion of writing. I market it for the money. LOL.

Slyce: Name three authors you’d love to work with.

KH: Tyler Perry, John singleton and Steven King.

Slyce: Is this book on eBook and or paperback?

KH: It’s both eBook and paperback. It’s on our website.
