Meet Author Elisabeth

Slyce: Brothers and Sistah’s, please welcome our sistah, Author Elisabeth to “The Interrogation Room”!! Welcome my sistah :-). Are you ready?

Slyce: What inspired you to become an author?Author Elisabeth

Elisabeth: When I was younger, I read a lot. I read a lot of different books and wrote poetry. Sometimes, I would find myself imagining different scenarios of how the book could have been different. It was like an escape of my own and with that I created my own world in which, if I didn’t like the ending of a book…I could change it.

Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?

Elisabeth: After Hours Publishing

Slyce: In what genre do you write?

Elisabeth: Interracial Romance

Slyce: Have you penned under another name?

Elisabeth: No not yet.

Slyce: You wrote a book titled, “Unraveling Sorrentino”. What was this book about?

Elisabeth: This book is about a man, Lincoln Sorrentino, who has a deep involvement in both legal and illegal activities. He and his twin brother are leaders of a mafia but practice law. He is a single father who is trying his best. He lost the one woman he’s ever loved but then he finds out she is alive. This book takes you on a journey to see what unravels when he finds out that the one woman, Reinie, he thought was dead, isn’t. She is well alive and healthy but there is one thing, she doesn’t remember anything from ten years ago. The two characters are thrown into something they both don’t know how to deal with. For Lincoln, it’s finding out the truth of what really happened to her and for Reinie, it is to cope with not only leaving someone she loved behind but it’s also that she forgot about her ten year old son.

Slyce: Is this book a stand alone or a series?

Elisabeth: This book is a standalone but there is a book prior to this that talks about his twin brother. Just for those who want to know about not only him but his twin.

Slyce: How important are interviews?

Elisabeth: Interviews are very important. They give readers an insight on the writer.

Slyce: How important are reviews?

Elisabeth: Reviews are very important because you get to understand what the readers loved or didn’t love. As authors, we can only write so much but if we don’t receive feedback from the readers, then we can’t improve. Improvement is not only important for us but it is also important for our character development.

Slyce: What does the term, “Building a Brand” mean?

Elisabeth: I believe that building a brand means making a name for yourself. It is a way for others to take a look at your work and recognize who it is. Our author names are our brands and with those, our work can not only be accounted for but also validated.

Slyce: What goals would you like to achieve as an author?

Elisabeth: As an author, the goal that I wish to achieve is making best seller. The reason to this is because I want to be able to engage everyone in my world. I want others to read my stories and be lost in it. To be able to escape from everyday stress or even sadness. This world that I create, I want others to be apart of it. To see that not everything in life should stress you out but instead put a smile on your face and brighten your day or night.

Slyce: What advice would you like to share with aspiring authors?

Elisabeth: The advice that I would give those aspiring to become authors is that don’t give up and go for it. I know from personal experience how hard it is to hold on to your work because you’re harder on yourself than anyone else but don’t. Give yourself and readers a chance to enter into your world. Let them discover your passion. Also, you can always do it. No matter what comes your way, never give up on what you love just because one person doesn’t know how to appreciate it.

Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Elisabeth?

Elisabeth: Yes there is! It will be released next month and it is something new that I have been working on. I know that others will love it just as much as I do.

Slyce: Do you write for the passion or the profit?

Elisabeth: I write for the passion. I could never see myself not writing. It gives me joy to be able to type or write down whatever is in my head. To create a world where it is somewhat nonfiction and fiction.

Slyce: Name three authors you’d love to work with.
