Slyce: What inspired you to become an Author?
BF: I was inspired by the many ppl that believed in me. I had doubt in myself but everyone else never doubted me.
Slyce: What is the name of your publishing company?
BF: My book was published by Blaqrayn publishers Kim M. Stephens.
Slyce: In what genre do you write?
BF: I mainly write horror and real life situations. But I’m trying to write in other genres as well.
Slyce: What excited you about your genre?
BF: I like to see others response to my genre and that excites me and motivates me to continue.
Slyce: Have you ever penned under another name?
BF: In high school I have but since I started publishing I haven’t.
Slyce: You wrote a book titled “Dark Encounters: Poetic Dark Expressions”. What was this book about?
BF: It’s about real life encounters but expressed in a dark kind of way.
Slyce: Where can our viewers purchase this book?
BF: In Amazon and CreateSpace.
Slyce: Name three of your favorite Poets?
BF: Edgar Allen Poe, Langston Hughes, Maya angelou.
Slyce: How important are interviews?
BF: Interviews are important for recognition. The more you’re exposed the better.
Slyce: How important are reviews?
BF: Reviews are important for self motivation.
Slyce: What does the term “Building a Brand” mean?
BF: Building your reputation.
Slyce: What steps are you taking to build your brand?
BF: Promoting and advertising..basically selling myself.
Slyce: What tools have you found most useful in distributing you material?
BF: Online, in person and word of mouth.
Slyce: Have you done book signing?
BF: I’ve signed books individually but never held an event..I am interested in doing so.
Slyce: Have you done blog talk radio?
BF: I have but not to promote my book. I am very interested in doing so.
Slyce: Have you done book tours?
BF: No not as of yet but am interested in doing so.
Slyce: What goals do you wish to achieve as an Author?
BF: To be the best author I can and reach out to as many ppl as I can.
Slyce: Do you feel a new Author should have a “Team”?
BF: I’ve worked with a team before when I published an online magazine last year. It was great and it’s great to support fellow authors.
Slyce: What was one of your biggest mistake you made as a “New Author”?
BF: I don’t believe in making mistakes.
Slyce: What advice would you offer to those who aspire to become Authors?
BF: Follow your hopes and dreams and never give up. Don’t let others put you down.
Slyce: Is there anything else cooking in the lab for Author Brandi BABILUV Ferguson?
BF: I’m currently working on my autobiography and another poetry book.
Slyce: Do you write for the passion or the profit?
BF: More for passion than profit..I love what I do.
